SP: shot during robbery, man survives thanks to the notebook in the backpack

A 35 -year -old man escaped serious injuries after being shot in the back during a robbery On the night of last Tuesday (18) in the neighborhood of Jaguara, in the West Zone of São Paulo.

The shot, fired by one of the criminals, hit the notebook that the victim carried in the backpack on his back, damaging the impact and avoiding more serious injuries.

According to the Civil Police, the man moved by motorcycle along Captain Mor Rodrigues de Almeida Street when he was approached by a group of approximately five criminals, one armed.

One of the robbers threw a bike against the victim’s motorcycle, forcing her to stop. Following, the criminals turned off the vehicle and one of them shot the biker’s back.

While the victim was injured, the robbers searched their belongings and fled with the motorcycle, leaving the bikes on the scene.

The man was rescued to the Osasco Regional Hospital, where he received medical attention. Police issued a guide for body examination at the Forensic Medical Institute (IML).

The motorcycle was located by the police abandoned on Niterói Street, in the Rochdale neighborhood of Osasco, Greater São Paulo.

The case was registered as theft and location/seizure and delivery of vehicle by the 33rd Police District (Pirituba). Searches for the suspects remain in progress.
