SpaceX has officially announced that due to ongoing inflation, prices for Starlink packages will soon rise. The company contacted customers via email and alerted them to the price increase.
The price increase will take effect as soon as possible. The email looks like this:
Due to excessive inflation, the price of the Starlink bundle is increasing from $499 to $549 for pre-orderers and to $599 for all new orders. In addition, the monthly cost of the Starlink service will increase from $99 to $110. The new price will apply to your subscription from May 11, 2022. The sole purpose of these adjustments is to keep up with rising inflation. If you do not want to continue using the services, you can cancel at any time and return the Starlink equipment within the first year of service for a partial refund of $200. If you received your Starlink within the last 30 days, you can return it for a full refund. Since the launch of our public beta in October 2020, the Starlink team has tripled the number of satellites in orbit. In the future, users can expect Starlink to maintain its pace of continuous network improvements as well as the addition of new features.

Yesterday it was reported that SpaceX is testing Starlink air terminals on airplanes. To date, SpaceX has launched about 2,000 Starlink satellites to support its global network.
