SpaceX’s prototype Starship SN15 completed a fully successful test flight, first taking off and then landing in Boca Chica, Texas. The online broadcast was conducted on the SpaceX Youtube channel.
Tests of the Starship SN15 prototype were supposed to take place at the end of April, but they were postponed due to bad weather conditions. Earlier this year, SpaceX lost several Starship prototypes in previous launches.
Elon Musk said that the landing was carried out in a regular mode. Earlier, the head of the company announced that Starship SN15 is an improved prototype with improved design, software and engine.
Thus, SpaceX is much closer to its vision of reusable spacecraft that will fly to the ISS, to the Moon, around the Earth and beyond.
