Ukraine has already received assistance from SpaceX in the form of Starlink satellite Internet access service operating in the country and related terminals. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, even more Starlink terminals will be delivered to Ukraine in the near future.
“I spoke with Elon Musk. I am grateful to him for supporting Ukraine in word and deed”, Zelensky wrote on Twitter. — Next week we will receive another batch of Starlink systems for destroyed cities“.
Recall that SpaceX sent the first batch of its satellite terminals to Ukraine on February 26 after an appeal on Twitter by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov. The cargo was delivered in record time – in just two days. A few days later, Elon Musk warned Ukrainians to use the service with caution. The warning came after John Scott-Railton, a researcher at the University of Toronto, pointed to the Russian military’s years of experience triangulating and targeting airstrikes against satellite data systems.
