Its Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spain gave a week to leave the country 27 diplomats and officials Russian embassy in Madrid. He also hinted that some of those on the list of 27 are spies, without, however, expanding on what their action or goals were.. He limited himself to emphasizing that they are “Threat to Spain’s interests and security”.
For its part, the Maria Zakharovaa spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, claimed that the move by the Spanish government “Like other such acts will be answered accordingly”.
Albares did not elaborate on the duties of Russian diplomats and embassy staffers leaving Spain, but neither did the Russian ambassador to the Spanish capital, Yuri Korchagin, nor his adviser, Dmitry Anofe Soko. the Spanish newspaper “El País”.
The decision taken by the government of Pedro Sanchez, according to diplomatic sources, affects the 60% of the total staff of the Russian Embassy in Spain.
Albares called the images of Bukhara and other Ukrainian cities around the world “intolerable and unacceptable” and called for an investigation into the deaths of Ukrainian civilians and for those responsible to be punished.
