The Spanish Gross Domestic Product (GDP) showed a growth of 0.6% intertrmetral Between January and March 2025, below 0.7% of the fourth quarter of 2024, as published by the National Statistics Institute (INE). The figure has been in line with the market expectation, but shows the most moderate rise in the Spanish economy since the second quarter of 2023.
At the year -on -year level, GDP has grown 2.8% in the first three months of the year, below the previous 3.3%. The data has complied with forecasts, placing Spanish economic growth in its lowest Nivl in one year.
Euro reaction
The euro has reacted down after the publication, sliding to minimums of the day in 1,1599 against the dollar. At the time of writing, the EUR/USD quotes about 1,1603, losing a slight 0.05% in the day. Despite the setback, the single currency stands firm after having reached a maximum of three and a half years in 1,1642.
