Spain: Moroccan arrested for allegedly killing six members of his family in their sleep

A Moroccan, accused of killing six members of his family in Morocco in his sleep, was arrested in Spain, the Spanish police announced today.

The man, whose identity has not been released, is wanted in Morocco for his alleged involvement in the deaths of his brother, his bride, their two adult children and their two grandchildren in Chalet, near Rabat, last February.

He was arrested in Castellόνn where he has been living permanently since 2002 with his wife and one of his sons.

The suspect had quarrels with many members of his family, due to an inheritance. He had threatened on the phone that he would kill his brother and his family inside their house, one night, according to the Spanish police.

In February, the six members of the family “were stabbed in their sleep and their house was deliberately set on fire”, leaving no one alive.
