Spain, the president of the Football Federation kisses a female soccer player. Her: “I didn’t like it”

Win a world title it is certainly a great emotion. The girls of the Spanish national football team are well aware of this and, by beating their English colleagues 1-0, they won the world title. In a competition of this level, then, it is not only the athletes and the staff who win, but also the Federation delegation, which usually follows the selection and its progress very carefully.

In this aspect, the Spanish Football Federation was exemplary. Always close to the team, not only in the official matches, but also in the pre-World Cup training camp. A constant presence that will certainly have pleased the group, feeling appreciated and supported as rarely happens in the women’s football scene.

Among the most active in giving his contribution and in ensuring that the Spanish national team could express itself at its best, the president of the Football Federation Luis Rubiales. All this involvement, however, has perhaps played a bad trick on him.

During the awards ceremony for his national team, Rubiales, visibly excited and oblivious to the presence of FIFA’s top manager Gianni Infantino, the Queen of Spain Letizia and the Infanta Sofia, definitely crossed the boundaries of legitimate joy grabbing a soccer player’s face with both hands and kissing her vigorously on the lips.

The player in question is Jenni Hermoso, 33-year-old midfielder who between the Under 21 national team and the senior national team has reached almost one hundred appearances with the representative of his country.

Received the unwanted kiss in spite of herself, Hermoso at the time kept calm, then once back in the locker room she let herself go to an understandable outburst. While around her her companions are intent on celebrating, Jenni decides to record a short video and post it on his social profiles. “I did not like it”he says referring to the stolen kiss.

Meanwhile Rubiales, perhaps realizing what he has done, tries to play down by announcing to the girls a prize trip to Ibiza during which the wedding between him and Jenni Hermoso will be celebrated. Called however to give his version of the episode, Rubiales declassified his gesture as “an insignificant show of affection”calling those who are talking about it “idiots”.
