Samsung decided to share what difficulties it faced in creating its new flexible smartphones and what technological solutions it resorted to to solve these problems.

For example, for new products Samsung has used what it calls Armor Aluminum. This is an aluminum alloy with some kind of impurities to increase the strength of the material.
As we know, the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Flip3 were the first flexible smartphones on the market with water resistance. Samsung said that it had to coat the parts and electrical components inside the hinge with a special anti-corrosion solution and lubricant to protect it from water. At the same time, Samsung notes that water can still get inside. And given that the warranty for such cases usually does not apply, which manufacturers often prefer to keep silent about, it is better not to wet smartphones.
Recall that the other day we saw the first showdowns of the Fold3 and Flip3.
