The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has released a new photo that was taken by the Curiosity rover.
The Curiosity rover took this 360-degree selfie using the Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI), which is located at the end of the arm. Take a panoramic selfie from 81 separate images. They were taken on November 20, 2021.
The rocky formation behind the rover is called the Greenheugh Pediment. The hill in the middle right is called Rafael Navarro Mountain. In this photo, Curiosity is heading towards Maria Gordon Notch.
Curiosity was built by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California, which runs the Curiosity mission for NASA’s Science Missions Office in Washington DC. The Mars Hand Lens Imager was developed by Malin Space Science Systems in San Diego.
