A German source, constantly providing reliable information about various devices that have not yet been officially presented, shared details about the first DJI “racing” drone – DJI FPV. The novelty should go on sale in March, but its characteristics and official renders can be evaluated right now.

The first thing that the source notes: DJI FPV will go on sale both in the usual delivery version and in the extended one – Combo. In the second case, the drone box will also contain DJI FPV Googles 2 goggles, a full set of cables and even a mobile battery.

DJI FPV is equipped with a proprietary 2000 mAh rechargeable battery, a full charge of which (by the way, it takes about 50 minutes to charge) provides 20 minutes of flight. The maximum flight speed is 54 km / h, the altitude is 6 kilometers, and the flight range is up to 10 kilometers.

For shooting, a stabilized camera with a 12-megapixel sensor is provided – it is capable of recording 4K video at 60 fps. Downscaling to 720p raises the maximum frequency to 120fps. Of course, there is an automatic focusing system.

Just from the listing of these characteristics, it becomes clear that DJI FPV is not a classic “racing” drone. It is, rather, a hybrid, so it also has three modes of operation: normal, manual and racing. The eight-channel controller allows you to connect up to seven glasses to the drone – in addition to the “operator” glasses.
