Ten people were injured after a speedboat catches fire in Maragogi famous tourist destination on the coast of Alagoas, this Friday (18). According to the state government, five men, four women – two of them pregnant women – and a 3 -year -old child are among the injured.
The State Department of Aviation of Alagoas (DEA) was triggered for the rescue and mobilized two helicopters in the action. All victims received the first calls on site by teams of the Maragogi Fire Department and were sent to the municipality’s UPA.
Five injured needed to be transferred to hospital units. Two, including a man who had 80% of his body burned, were taken to the State General Hospital (HGE) by the Dea helicopters. Three others were conducted by terrestrial, two in Samu ambulances and one per Fire Department Rescue Unit, bound for the Northern Regional Hospital (HRN).
The other five victims had minor injuries and remained in the UPA, without the need for transfer so far.
