The series “How I Met Your Father” premieres this Wednesday (9) in Brazil, exclusively on the streaming platform Star+. The plot is a retelling of the hit comedy series “How I Met Your Mother”, which showed the saga of a man, Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor), to meet the love of his life, and tell the story to the children of the couple.
The original series aired between 2005 and 2014, winning nine seasons.
The new version brings a reversal of roles in the story: this time, it is the mother who tells her children how she met the children’s father. Despite the similarities between the two productions, “How I Met Your Father” is an independent series from its predecessor.
Sophie, played in her younger version by Hillary Duff, and in her more mature version by Kim Catrall (the eternal Samantha, from “Sex And The City”), lives in New York with her group of friends and is the thread of the “sitcom” (a genre of comedy series) that portray everyday situations.
Fans of the original plot will be able to feel nostalgic as they see one of the main scenarios make a new appearance on screen: the apartment that was previously shared by Ted, Lily (Alyson Hannigan) and Marshall (Jason Segel), is bought by two of the new characters. , Jesse (Christopher Lowell) and Sid (Suraj Sharma). The opening also has the same style and soundtrack as its predecessor.
The comedy has already been renewed for a second season.
