Spotify is testing its cheap Plus subscription

Music service Spotify has begun testing its low-cost Plus subscription. Its cost is $ 0.99 / month. The Verge learned about it from the reader, the information was confirmed by the company.

“We are always working to improve the Spotify user experience and are testing regularly to make decisions. We are currently testing a plan with ads for a limited number of our users, ”a Spotify spokesperson told The Verge.

A Spotify Plus subscription allows you to play playlists in a set order and skip tracks an unlimited number of times, but does not get rid of audio and banner ads. In the free version, you can only listen to playlists in random order and skip six tracks per hour, if these are not algorithmic playlists “Mix of the Day” and “Opening of the Week”.
