According to the website Downdetector, there was a spike in reported problems involving the app after 3pm.
Among the issues reported on the site, 71% involved users logging in, 19% the mobile app itself, and 10% the website.
THE CNN contacted Spotify’s advice to explain the instability, but there has been no response so far.
Due to instability, the term “Spotify” ended up among the most talked about topics on Twitter.
“My Spotify just shut down out of nowhere and I thought I had an error with my account,” reported one user.
“Yeah, I also thought the problem was just with my Spotify”, commented another profile on Twitter.
