Spotify launched this Wednesday (29) its 2023 Retrospective (Wrapped, in English), in which users have access to their activity on the platform throughout the year, with rankings of the most listened to songs, artists, albums and playlists.
The experience, which is normally released at the end of November or beginning of December, is highly anticipated by streaming listeners, and many are already considering the retrospective an “event”.

But it’s difficult to please everyone. On X, formerly Twitter, some users complained about the influence of Spotify’s integration with Alexa, Amazon’s virtual assistant, which had “messed up” the retrospective.
In many cases, other people with access to Alexa in the same house or environment use Spotify, and the most listened to songs end up on the most listened to list of the owner of the main account on the device. Check out:
Thank you dad for putting an Arlindo Cruz out of nowhere in my retrospective after asking Alexa so much pic.twitter.com/Qp00SEJ5tR

Leave your Spotify connected to the Alexa that everyone uses, especially your mother, to see if the retrospective’s end of the year aesthetic doesn’t end lol pic.twitter.com/d39nIFK5az
