In particular, the HASSLARP door is instantly recognizable thanks to the herringbone pattern in the warm and varied tones of dark wood. Its simple but original style gives even more grit and personality to the kitchen.

To serve or as a simple piece of furniture, Ikea proposes the new one instead Vårfint tray made of debarked rattan and bamboo, which brings the beauty of craftsmanship into the home. The base features an eye-catching herringbone pattern, while the handles, created from a single rounded piece, facilitate transport.

Among all types of wood, bamboo is one of the most resistant and flexible thanks to its particularly long fibers. In addition, it produces twice as much oxygen as other plants and is one of the fastest growing raw materials; it is therefore a choice also in the direction of increasing attention to environmental sustainability.

Soft but decisive light, then, with the new Älvstarr lampshade anything but discreet, but this is its strong point. The ultra-modern wavy shape and chrome finish create a lamp that dances with the light before shining it down, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It can be hung above the table, to give a decisive touch of style to the dining area, or to make it the protagonist of the living room.

“ÄLVSTARR is both retro and futuristic at the same time, and makes a scene even when the light is off”, he comments Ikea designer Paulin Machado, whose experience in the field of textiles influenced the design of ÄLVSTARR. To explore the best way to create the shape and volume of the lampshade, Machado made the first prototypes in fabric and paper, just as they do with clothing.
