Sputnik V-vaccinated Argentinean President tested positive for COVID-19. In the Russian Federation are saddened

Vaccinated against the coronavirus with the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, Argentine President Alberto Fernandez received a positive rapid test for COVID-19. He announced this on Twitter.

Fernandez says his temperature has risen to 37.3 degrees and has a headache. A rapid antigen test showed a positive result for COVID-19. The Buenos Aires Times notes that Fernandez received his first dose of Sputnik V on January 21. “It is clear that he received a second dose, although officials did not give confirmation,” the newspaper writes.

Now Fernandez is waiting for the result of a PCR test for coronavirus, is in isolation and follows the instructions of his personal doctor.

The illness of the President of Argentina fell on his birthday. “For everyone’s sake, I am physically healthy and, although I would like to end my birthday without this news, I am in a good mood,” the politician wrote.

The developer of Sputnik V, the Russian Gamaleya Institute, wrote in the comments that he was saddened by such news. The Russians assure that their vaccine is 91.6% effective against infection and 100% effective against severe cases of COVID-19.
