St. Petsas: Every euro left over will go back to society

The government’s commitment to continue supporting households and businesses was underlined by the deputy minister of the interior, Stelios Petsas, through SKAI.

As he characteristically stated, because the budget has the margins, every euro that is left over will be returned to society” while he emphasized that the increased income from tourism “allows the planning of measures to relieve society from the imported energy crisis and inflation”

“It seems that this year will be a record year for receipts and possibly arrivals”, Mr. Petsas also noted about tourism

He emphasized that the government is implementing a coherent policy that has not changed at all in the last three years, with reforms to unleash the forces of the economy that bring investment while at the same time aiming to reduce the tax burden.

Regarding the events in Evros, Mr. Petsas stated that “we must always show that we are guarding our borders as in March 2020. Indeed, Greece is not an open vine. The sea, the land and the rivers have borders and we monitor them and we keep them”. “The only geopolitical turmoil that is dangerous this winter is our neighbor,” he added.
