St. Petsas: We mobilize all available development programs for the benefit of Local Government

The institutional interventions and the financial tools of the Ministry of Interior for the Local Government were presented in the meetings of the Deputy Minister of Interior Stelios Petsas with representatives of the Local Government, during his visit to Fokida.

The first stop of Mr. Petsas’s visit was Itea, where he inspected the space at the entrance of the city, where the renovation project will take place, which upgrades the entire area environmentally and aesthetically. This is the project, amounting to 1 million euros, which is funded by the Ministry of Interior and concerns the configuration of a square and sidewalk, as well as the restoration and maintenance of the road network. Accompanied by the mayor of Delphi, Panagiotis Tagalis, the vice-governor P.E. Fokida, George Delmouzos, the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Giannis Tsakiris and the general secretary of the Parliamentary Group of New Democracy and MP of Fokida, Giannis Bouga, Mr. Petsas was informed about the implementation schedule of the project and talked professionally. are active in the wider area.

Mr. Petsa’s next stop was Amfissa, where he participated in a wide-ranging meeting under Mr. Tagalis, members of the municipal council, representatives of institutions and the Local Government. Messrs. Delmouzos, Tsakiris and Bougas also participated. At the center of the discussions were institutional issues, the next development priorities, issues with financial sign that concern the municipal authority, as well as issues of emergency funding and strengthening of key services of the municipality with specialized staff.

Mr. Petsas also focused on the development role of the Local Government, through the financial tools of the Ministry of Interior. “We are mobilizing all the available development programs that we have at our disposal for the benefit of the Local Government”, he pointed out and referred to the financing of important projects for the municipality of Delphi, totaling 10 million euros, through the programs of the Ministry of Interior. Among other things, proposals are included that have already been included in the “Antonis Tritsis” program, such as:

– The project for the improvement of water infrastructure, amounting to 4.5 million euros

The integrated urban wastewater management project, amounting to EUR 1.6 million and

– The project “digital tour” in two municipal museums in the area, amounting to 286,440 euros, in the context of the invitation “Greece 1821 – Greece 2021”.

The next high priority proposals of the municipal authority were on the table, with emphasis on the project “Urban Revitalization”, amounting to 3.9 million euros and the project for the supply of electric vehicles, amounting to 1.2 million euros, which are expected to be discussed. at the next meeting of the evaluation committee. This is a set of basic infrastructure projects that – as Mr. Petsas stressed – improve in practice the daily lives of residents, reduce the environmental footprint and enhance the cultural and tourist development of the region.

Due to the rapid deterioration of the weather forecast provided by the National Meteorological Service, after the new coordination meeting held earlier at the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection to assess the course of bad weather “Filippos” and the deputy Interior, the visit of Mr. Petsas scheduled for tomorrow to the Municipality of Doridos is postponed.
