The transnational company Standard Chartered plans to launch its own virtual space inside one of the largest metaverses.
The bankers announced that their Hong Kong subsidiary Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) (SCBHK) has partnered with virtual gaming platform The Sandbox to create their space in the metaverse. According to representatives of the bank, they are the first to acquire virtual land in the area of ​​the virtual metropolis The Sandbox. The initiative is being led by the bank’s innovation arm, SC Ventures.
In the near future, Standard Chartered plans to attract more employees, partners and customers to develop its own space in the metaverse. In addition, the company plans to invite communities of athletes and artists to help develop the bank’s virtual space.
