DEMO ABEE announces the start of the application period for the 5th round of Start Your Journey, the company’s Scholarship and Internship Program which will run from September 1 to October 15, 2022.
The Start Your Journey program was created by DEMO with the aim of supporting excellent young scientists up to the age of 29 in their first professional steps and is part of the company’s wider Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability program to promote science, strengthen the pharmaceutical industry and creating opportunities for young people in Greece.
More specifically, Start Your Journey is aimed at Graduates or University Graduates in the fields of Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering / Automation Engineering who are interested in developing in the pharmaceutical industry and includes:
– 3 scholarships with monetary support per specialty (€500, €1000, €2000) to candidates who have planned postgraduate & doctoral studies for their specialization at Universities in Greece or abroad.
– 3 Internship positions per specialty (salaried practice) giving young scientists the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice and develop scientifically and professionally in one of the leading pharmaceutical industries in Greece and Europe through a development plan that will focus on their professional training and their active participation in projects and the production units of DEMO. Young scientists have the opportunity to gain work experience in state-of-the-art Quality Control, Research & Development laboratories as well as in the Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Technical Support, Technology & Digital Transformation, Corporate Governance / Application Development departments.

Through the Start Your Journey program, DEMO confirms its strategic orientation to be a driving force for the development of the Greek pharmaceutical sector and the Greek pharmaceutical industry, giving incentives and opportunities to the specialized scientific human resources of Greece and strengthening its relations with the Academic Community . Therefore, Start Your Journey is implemented with a view to the essential integration of young scientists in the industry and in the company, especially in the context of its development investment plan, and the majority of candidates selected for the Internship, remained in DEMO after the completion of the six-month internship and continue to work in the company to this day.
