The Chinese brand Havall, which is part of the automotive giant Great Wall Motors, announced the start of sales in Russia of the new Haval F7 and F7x crossovers of the 2022 model year.
The cars are presented in 4 trim levels, are offered with two engine options, a 7-speed robotic transmission, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The cost of the updated Haval F7 and Haval F7x starts from 1,899,000 and 1,969,000 rubles, respectively. This is 90 thousand and 110 thousand rubles more than the starting recommended prices for the previous generation.
Versions with a 1.5-liter petrol engine (150 hp, 280 N•m) are available with front-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive system, and with a 2-liter (190 hp, 340 N•m) – only in all-wheel drive version.
The cars received modified front and rear bumpers, grille and fog lights. The body color palette was replenished with a red version with a metallic effect.
In the updated models, a more technologically advanced multimedia cluster is installed. The starter package offers a large touch screen with a diagonal of 12.3 inches and a Bluetooth interface for connecting mobile devices. The system supports the Apple CarPlay platform, and from April 2022, Android Auto will also be supported.
There is also a keyless entry system with push-button engine start, light and rain sensors, a “follow home” function – headlight turn-off delays, cruise control, an electronic parking brake and an AutoHold system for holding the car in place during a short stop.
The updated crossovers are adapted for operation in Russia – they have a heated steering wheel and front seats, as well as an increased volume of washer fluid. Starting with the Elite trim level, the second row of seats is also heated and the entire windshield is electrically heated.
It should be noted that according to the results of 2021, in the ranking of the best-selling Chinese cars in Russia, the Haval F7 crossover took the third place, and the Haval F7x took the fifth place. F7 and F7x account for almost 60% of the brand’s sales in Russia.
