State Department: No Change to F-35 Attitude-Caatsa Law “blocked” Turkey because of Russian S-400

The US government’s position on Turkey’s reintegration into the F-35 program has not changed, as, according to the State Department of Legislative Affairs, the US remains fully committed to the implementation of the Caatsa law. This legislation prevents Turkey from gaining F-35 because of the possession of the Russian S-400 system. The report was made by a senior official of the State Department’s Legislative Affairs Office in the reply letter sent to MP Chris Pappa.
