The government of the State of São Paulo will decide on flexibility in the use of masks next Wednesday (9), as determined by the Ministry of Health. CNN.
The measure, which provides for the release of facial protection on streets and outdoor environments, including outside areas of bars and restaurants, should accompany the advance in vaccination in the state and improvements in pandemic indicators.
There is also the expectation of a specific rule for the use of masks in schools.
100 million doses applied
This week, the state exceeded the mark of 100 million doses of vaccine against Covid-19 applied, with 82.4% of the population vaccinated.
Among the population able to receive the doses, including people over 5 years of age, the state has already reached the mark of 88.2% of the population immunized with the two doses. Regarding the additional dose, there are already more than 20.4 million doses applied.
In the vaccination of children, São Paulo surpassed the mark of 3 million doses applied, with 67.9% of the population between 5 and 11 years old with at least one dose. About 10% of children who received Coronavac have already taken the second dose and completed the vaccination schedule. The vaccine application interval is 28 days, whereas the Pfizer immunizer is 8 weeks.
