State of SP has alert for storms; See affected areas

The São Paulo Civil Defense issued a warning to storm risks mainly in the eastern strip of the state. According to the agency, the warning is valid at least until this Sunday (16), reinforcing the need for the population to follow security guidelines

“Phenomena can be followed by rays, strong winds and hail,” says the Civil Defense.

  • GREAT SAO PAULO
  • Campinas
  • Sorocaba
  • Paraíba Valley
  • Serra da Mantiqueira
  • North coast
  • Baixada Santista

In the event of a storm, the Civil Defense guides the population to avoid risk areas, seek shelter in safe places and, in case of emergencies, trigger the numbers 199, 193 or 190.

“Never hide under trees and metal and fragile structures. They may be damaged and even fall ”warns the organ.

In case of flooded areas, be aware of the risks, as holes or manholes may be open. “Flooded areas may contain flood, dragging people with a blade of only 15 centimeters and cars can be taken with 30 centimeters of water,” the Civil Defense reinforces.

City of São Paulo

The capital of São Paulo dawned this Saturday (15) with covered sky and mild temperatures.

The city should remain in the coming days with sun between clouds, muffled time and rain in the form of isolated blows, which should focus on the late afternoon, according to the City Hall Climate Emergency Center (CGE).

Last Wednesday (12), the strong storm caused a death in São Paulo, knocked dozens of trees and left several properties without light.

  • Saturday: between 20ºC and 27ºC;
  • Sunday: between 20ºC and 25ºC;
  • Monday: between 20ºC and 26ºC.

Temperatures are also expected to remain milder next week, according to Meteoblue.
