“State Slaughterhouse”: Reactions to Slovakia’s decision to approve the sale of bear meat

The Non -Governmental Organization “My SME LES” today criticized the government’s decision in Slovakia to approve the mood for the bear meat market, denouncing the “state slaughterhouse” that offers meat of protected animals and encouraging poachers. Environment Minister Philip Koufa, of the SNS far -right party, says in a Facebook post that the state has decided to approve the mood for sale meat from bears that are killed, “because bear meat is edible.” A “irrational” decision according to the NGO “My Sme Les”, which stresses that the ministry that is supposed to ensure the protection of endangered species cannot be “transformed” into a trading slaughterhouse.
