At least eight states and the Federal District reported lack or rationing of contrast, the generic name for substances used in imaging tests. They highlight and highlight different parts of the body, improving image interpretation and allowing for a better diagnosis.

The ministry’s note also recommends prioritizing the contrast for patients at greater risk and clinical situations of emergency and urgency.
The government of São Paulo sent a letter to the ministry asking for measures to regularize the supply of contrast in health units in the state.
