President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) meets, this Monday (7), with the ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Edson Fachin and Alexandre de Moraes at the Planalto Palace to deliver the invitation to the inauguration ceremony of Fachin as president. and Moraes as vice president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).

The meeting takes place after friction between Bolsonaro and Moraes. The minister is the rapporteur of the investigation that investigates the leak of confidential data from the inquiry into hacker attacks on the TSE, in which the president was summoned to testify and did not appear.

Nine states resume classes in person in public schools this Monday (7): São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina, Paraná, Mato Grosso, Alagoas, Bahia, Maranhão and Rio de Janeiro. The state of Paraíba, which also resumes classes today, opted for the hybrid model because of the pandemic.

Covid-19 in children and adolescents

The number of children and adolescents hospitalized with Covid-19 tripled earlier this year compared to the same period in 2021. In January, hospitalizations jumped from 697 to 2,122, in the range between zero and 19 years. Deaths almost doubled in this age group, from 49 to 86, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Inflation

The market raised its inflation forecast for this year, according to data from the Focus Bulletin, released by the Central Bank this Monday (7th). The forecast went from 5.38% to 5.44%, above the target ceiling of 5%.

Protests against vaccination in Canada

Canada has faced protests by truck drivers against the Covid-19 vaccine for two weeks. Demonstrations of the category left at least seven people arrested and made the capital Ottawa declare a state of emergency.
