Digitec, one of the largest retailers of computers and accessories for them, has published statistics on warranty claims to manufacturers of video cards and motherboards. They were based on store data from the last 24 months.
According to recent data, Dell products have the least risk of manufacturing defects – apparently, the reason is the refusal to use complex custom cooling systems and factory overclocking (but these are only assumptions). It is also noteworthy that ASRock, a newcomer to the GPU market, has a second place – only 0.3% of hits. As the numbers show, most often buyers discover problems no earlier than 9 days after purchasing a video card.

Judging by the statistics, defective motherboards are more common – at least in 2.8% of cases (for the rating leader represented by MSI), but in a bad scenario, the number can reach 5% (for Supermicro). At the same time, factory defects in motherboards are noticed faster, most often already in the first week.
