The SteamDB website now allows you to see which games are fully optimized to run on the Steam Deck portable console. The corresponding filter was added to the “Platforms” section. To date, 38 games have been tested for compatibility. Among them are Portal 2, Death Stranding, Dark Souls III, Mad Max, Cuphead, FINAL FANTASY and other titles.
According to the SteamDB database, five games do not yet support portable PC. These are Persona 4 Golden and VR projects, but Valve is already working on optimization. Titles that can be played on Steam Deck, but with some restrictions, are in the “Playable” section. For example, Witcher 3 has not yet adapted the text for the small screen.
Valve planned to release the Steam Deck in December last year, but due to a shortage of components, it delayed the launch of the portable console by two months. The company recently confirmed that the first batch of devices will ship to customers at the end of February. The Steam Deck will initially be available in the US, Canada, the UK, and select European countries.
