The keycaps shown here were unveiled today by SteelSeries. They are called PrismCaps and refer to two-layer caps in which the bottom layer, made of a translucent material, diffuses the light from the backlight. The top layer is made of an opaque material. In the case of SteelSeries PrismCaps, it can be white and black.
The manufacturer emphasizes that he tried to make the caps as compatible as possible. The kit even includes two additional sets of bottom row keycaps to accommodate mechanical keyboards from SteelSeries, Razer, HyperX, Corsair, Ducky, and more.
The advantages of the new caps are the exceptional durability achieved by using PBT, one of the hardest and most durable materials for such products.
The kit costs 30 dollars, in Europe – 35 euros.
