Stella: “Dear school, you are and will be forever, a magical place”

Dear School,

I never thought I’d be away from you for so long. Although I am in the fourth year of high school, you miss you. I still remember the smell of early morning coffee spreading through the classrooms, preparing us for a new day. Those days full of laughter, of concern for a task, days of reflection, or the ones we passed by to organize a birthday surprise for one of our professors.

Dear school, it is incredible how much in those classrooms you can feel more emotions at the same time … I’m not here to criticize distance learning, also because it seems clear to me that it cannot replace school, but I’m here in order to turn on the light of hope, this light has gone out among the young, because they feel abandoned, because whenever we talk about the new generations, someone always has something negative reserved exclusively for them, this is a reminder, or rather a call, to all those who need to return to life, because this is also school , returning to feel alive, experiencing certain emotions that often only school can give us at this age.

Dear school, you are and will always be, a magical place, which has contributed thanks to some professors, whom I call special, to improve my life, and to teach me true values.

Dear school, I would like to thank you and remind you of the value you possess, thanks to you I met good teachers who taught me to love myself, to love beauty, and that they managed to light a fire inside me, that fire that feeds curiosity and the desire to know, which adults very often do not see us young people, thanks for making me fall and thanks for teaching me to get up with dignity . With that, I hope this bad period will pass as soon as possible so we can finally exclaim, “And so we went out to see the stars again.”

Stella
