The actor Stenio Garcia was discharged this Friday afternoon (7), according to a medical bulletin from Hospital Samaritano Barra. The 91-year-old artist had been hospitalized since last Saturday (1st) after experiencing severe pain in his legs.
He had been diagnosed with septicemia, also known as sepsis – a severe infection with elevated levels of leukocytes.
In a video posted on his Instagram profile on Thursday (6), Stenio had indicated that he was already recovering.
“I’m alive and yesterday they removed the access that was in my vein because I no longer have an infection. I’m still in the hospital because I’m going to do tests to look for an inflammation that is causing pain from the waist down and I started treatment with cortisone”, he explained in the caption.
Stenio took the opportunity to criticize people who spread rumors that he had died.
“People who love me are calling me crying because the internet is no man’s land and there are many evil people who release lying news in search of ratings”, he added.
In the video, the actor also reinforced the outburst. “The media is hungry for news and news that even harms people. Why keep killing people? Wish health. I, at least, do that, because I know there is the law of return”, he concluded.
Facial harmonization is not related to hospitalization
Recently, the actor surprised fans by showing the new look after performing a facial pairing .
In the face of criticism, Marilene Saade, the actor’s wife, explained the reason for the procedure.
“He had that skin [abaixo do rosto] fall. He did it just to put it in place (…) It turned out great. He was deflated and going to the gym”, he reported.
