Stephen Amell known for his work on “Arrow” was cast as the protagonist of the spin-off of “Suits” , which will be set in Los Angeles. The information was confirmed by the actor on social media.
The plot will follow Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor in New York, who reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His company is at a crisis point and, to survive, he must assume a role he has played with contempt throughout his career.
Victoria Mahoney will be responsible for directing and so far Amell has been the only name of the cast revealed.
A pilot for the series was recently ordered by NBC. Production is scheduled to begin at the end of March in Vancouver, Canada.
The pilot order came a few days after a report showed that “Suits” was the most watched series on streaming in 2023. The legal drama aired on the USA Network from 2011 to 2019 and has nine seasons. In Brazil, the series is available on Netflix.
At this year's Golden Globes, Patrick J. Adams which brings Mike Ross to life in “Suits” stated that he would return as the character for the spin-off.
