Mac Miller, rapper and record producer, was found dead at his home in San Fernando Valley, California, on September 7, 2018. In the case of the other defendants, dealer Michael Pettit was arrested on September 10, 2019, while Ryan Reavis was arrested on September 23 of the same year. Both were charged with fraudulent devices, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled drugs, misconduct and manufacture of a prohibited weapon.
On October 2, 2019, both were charged again with conspiring to distribute controlled substances, which resulted in the distribution of fentanyl and the subsequent death of Mac Miller.
