Steve Wozniak: “I am very skeptical about cryptocurrencies”

The Apple co-founder revealed on CNBC’s Make It program that he is suspicious of digital assets – with the exception of bitcoin.

Steve Wozniak has stated that he does not like investing in volatile assets – it requires attention and brings too much stress. But he often supports companies and people he believes in. He does not have the goal of “making a lot of money”, but rather supporting interesting companies and ideas. Perhaps that is why Wozniak is a multimillionaire, but not a billionaire.

As for cryptocurrencies, he is “very skeptical” about the vast majority of digital assets. Steve Wozniak considers them too risky for the average person, especially for the leveraged person. In addition, cryptocurrencies “provide an awful lot of opportunities for scammers”:

“I only choose cryptocurrencies that are based on something. The approach is the same as with stock selection. You need something, a product that you can imagine and see.”

The co-founder of Apple admitted that he “played with a lot of cryptocurrencies.” He previously invested in bitcoin and made a good profit, but now he has left only one bitcoin, abandoning other similar assets. Wozniak called BTC and ETH the best investments among cryptocurrencies:

“Bitcoin is just gold. Nobody owns it, and nobody manages it. Pure mathematics.

Previously, Steve Wozniak predicted that the price of bitcoin could well rise to $100,000.
