Steve Wozniak Predicts Bitcoin to Rise to $100,000

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has invested a large amount in bitcoin and expects cryptocurrencies to grow due to the high public interest in them.

Programmer Steve Wozniak on the Steve-O’s Wild Ride podcast
declared, which entered the bitcoin market quite early. He was not going to make money on cryptocurrency, his goal was to explore a new asset. Wozniak added that he likes to follow the price movement of an asset, whether it be stocks or cryptocurrencies. At first, I bought bitcoin out of curiosity.

“I bought a lot of bitcoins at the very beginning in order to understand how to play with this new asset, how to buy them online? And I figured it out! How to buy them in other countries, and how to buy a donut for them in another country? How to find an ATM that accepts your bitcoin? I wanted to experiment and find out all this, and then bitcoin went up. I got scared and sold all my bitcoins leaving only 1 BTC. My goal is to play and experiment, not to make money from it,” Wozniak said.

He has gone through a bull market twice since investing in bitcoin. “Bitcoin went up twice and made money.” Wozniak believes that the price of BTC will rise even higher and reach the six-figure mark.

“Very soon I think that bitcoin will reach $100,000. I don’t know why I have such a feeling. I can’t apply any math to this. I just really feel it because of everyone’s interest. Interest in cryptocurrency is so high that I transferred more money to the Coinbase wallet.”

Steve Wozniak believes in the upside potential of bitcoin, but does not understand altcoins and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

“The number of people being scammed on other cryptocurrencies and NFTs is outrageous. Bitcoin is safe because it is a large asset. It’s stable. Conservative thinking: you choose big ones and they will be there, and bitcoin is stable.”

This year, Wozniak criticized crypto assets, including meme cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens, calling most of them fraudulent. Last year, an Apple co-founder called bitcoin a “marvel of technology” and a “unique mathematical formula.” At the same time, he added that he does not plan to invest in BTC. In 2019, Wozniak stated that he sold his bitcoins as he became disillusioned with the cryptocurrency.
