The suspension of the ordinance that determined that companies could not demand proof of vaccination from employees, the request for authorization by Pfizer to vaccinate children aged 5 to 11 years and the record deforestation in the Amazon in October are some of the highlights of this Friday, 12 from November.
Minister Luís Roberto Barroso, of the Federal Supreme Court, suspended parts of the Ministry of Labor and Welfare, which determined that companies could not demand proof of vaccination from employees. The decision will be taken to the virtual plenary.
Vaccination in children
Pfizer delivered to Anvisa the request for authorization to vaccinate children aged 5 to 11 years. The agency is expected to review the documentation within 30 days.
The area of deforestation alerts in the Amazon broke a record in October and is the largest for the month in five years. 870 km² of forest have been cleared. A 5% increase over the same month last year. The data are from a survey by the National Institute for Space Research.
Dismissal at CBF
CBF announced that Leonardo Gaciba is no longer the president of the organization’s Arbitration Committee. The dismissal took place a day after the controversial penalty kick in the game between Flamengo and Bahia by Brasileirão, maintained even after being reviewed by the video referee. The post will be assumed on an interim basis by former referee Alicio Pena Júnior.
Barcelona announced the return of Brazilian full-back Daniel Alves. According to a statement from the club, the contract runs until the end of the current season, in June 2022. The official presentation has yet to be scheduled. Daniel Alves was free for the market since his contract with São Paulo was terminated.
