STF suspends ordinance, vaccination in children and more on November 12th

The suspension of the ordinance that determined that companies could not demand proof of vaccination from employees, the request for authorization by Pfizer to vaccinate children aged 5 to 11 years and the record deforestation in the Amazon in October are some of the highlights of this Friday, 12 from November.

Vaccination requirement

Minister Luís Roberto Barroso, of the Federal Supreme Court, suspended parts of the Ministry of Labor and Welfare, which determined that companies could not demand proof of vaccination from employees. The decision will be taken to the virtual plenary.

Vaccination in children

Pfizer delivered to Anvisa the request for authorization to vaccinate children aged 5 to 11 years. The agency is expected to review the documentation within 30 days.

The area of ​​deforestation alerts in the Amazon broke a record in October and is the largest for the month in five years. 870 km² of forest have been cleared. A 5% increase over the same month last year. The data are from a survey by the National Institute for Space Research.
