STJ maintains Nego Di’s provisional freedom in unanimous decision

The 5th Panel of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) decided, this Tuesday (10), maintain the decision that guaranteed provisional freedom by Dilson Alves da Silva Neto, known as Nego Di .

The influencer and comedian faces accusations of embezzlement and money laundering.

The decision, taken unanimously, confirmed the injunction issued by Minister Reynaldo Soares da Fonseca, who had previously granted the defendant’s release. The information was confirmed to CNN for the defense of the comedian.

Nego Di had been in prison since July this year, being investigated for embezzlement. He is accused of deceiving more than 300 people who bought products through the “Tadizuera” virtual store, managed by him.

According to the police, the victims had loss estimated at more than R$5 million.

In early December, the Rio Grande do Sul Court warned the comedian after he appeared in a post on the social network of his then lawyer, Tatiana Borsa, moments after leaving prison.

The lawyer was fired by Nego Di. On the occasion, the professional published a photo making a toast in celebration with the comedian.

Remember the scheme

On the networks, Nego Di said he was hired by Anderson Bonetti to just promote the products, but in another video he said he was the owner and guaranteed delivery of the product to customers.

One of the victims of the scam, who lost R$30,000 after buying two cell phones and some air conditioning, told CNN about Nego Di’s modus operandi.

According to her, the suspect sold, in 2022, cell phones at prices well below the market and delivered them, to give veracity to the scam.

Soon after, he announced that he would create a virtual store, selling products at low prices so that everyone could have access.
