STJ overturns decision suspending Enem’s writing test

The Superior Court of Justice (STJ) suspended this Saturday (20) the injunction of the Federal Regional Court of the 4th Region (TRF4) that prevented the application of the Enem essay test. The test will be applied this Sunday (21)

TRF4’s decision determined that this stage of the exam was not considered in the result for candidates with disabilities who are unable to express themselves in writing.

According to minister Humberto Martins, of the STJ, the injunction put at risk the completion of the entire Enem, and its maintenance would harm the more than 3.3 million candidates registered in the country.

For the minister, the injunction would have a “negative impact on all the strategic planning designed by the public administration”.

The suspension determined by the STJ is valid until the final and unappealable decision of the action that discusses the rules for taking the writing test for candidates with physical impairment.
