Stoltenberg for NATO Summit: New chapter in transatlantic relations

His Synod NATO marks a new chapter in transatlantic relations, he said as he approached the summit Jens Stoltenberg.

The leaders will discuss a wide-ranging agenda of issues, including Russia, the Alliance Secretary-General said.

“Our relationship with Russia is at its lowest level since the end of the Cold War”, he underlined.

As for China, Mr Stoltenberg said there were opportunities, but “China ‘s military development and repression are creating some security challenges.”

“We must treat them together as an alliance,” he said.

In addition, Jens Stoltenberg noted that the allies will agree on the 2030 agenda, in which one of the main goals is to strengthen resilience.
