Chicago police will not cooperate with ethnic or federal agents if US President Donald Trump is ordering their development in the American big city in the coming days, Mayor Brandon Johnson said. Surrounded by other officials, Johnson signed an executive decree to prepare Chicago in view of a possible operation similar to that ordered by Trump in Los Angeles and Washington, urging the US president to change. “We want to ensure that we are prepared,” he told reporters as he signed the decree, adding that the aim is to give “clear instructions” to municipal officials and all residents in Chicago for “how we can resist this tyranny”.
