“Storm Boy”, story of a child who loved pelicans

The one is the child version of the adult man. The other is his present image. Finn Little, small debut actor, e Geoffrey Rush they were chosen to play the same part in the cinema: that of a boy who became a father. Michael Kingley, a powerful businessman, was once a sensitive, sweet child. Gifted with a caring love for the animal world. Still small, he took charge of the rescue, then the care of an orphaned pelican.

And it is the images of that moment, the memories of the past that make their way into the dimension of the hour, forcing a now elderly Kingley to reconnect with a hidden part of himself.

Kingley, the iridescent face of Geoffrey Rush and Finn Little, will understand through the re-enactment of his personal history when Mr. Percival, the pelican raised with almost maternal affection, has influenced its growth and development. And, in the film taken from the writing of Colin Thiele, Storm Boy, will transform his awareness into a mature epiphany, developing a decisive awareness of the future of his family and, at the same time, of the surrounding environment.

Storm Boy – The boy who knew how to fly, which will appear in Italian cinemas on 24 June, is a coming-of-age story, without time or age. Adapted from a book written in 1964, it traces the (fictitious) story of a boy, of his territory, Australia. But he doesn’t make a limit of that detail, something that is born and dies in his piece of the world. Storm Boy it is the universality of feelings that know no boundaries. It is empathy, respect: a story with no deadline, of which we show you an exclusive clip above.
