A strong storm, with intense winds, caused significant damage last Saturday (11) in a village in the city of Sátiro Dias, in the interior of Bahia. An event that would have celebrated the Festa do Bom Jesus do Bom Pasto was canceled after the stage set up by the city hall was destroyed by the heavy rains that hit the region.
Among the planned attractions was the singer Tayrone, who had his performance suspended. According to the artist’s press office, the show will be rescheduled for January 31st.
In a video shared on social media, Mayor Pedrito Cruz (PSB) lamented what happened and reported that, due to the damage caused to the stage, sound system and lighting, the party program could not be carried out.
The mayor highlighted that, after consulting security agencies, he was advised to suspend shows and other activities. “Thank God, there were no victims. We contacted the Military Police and the Civil Police, and the advice was to cancel the event”, stated the mayor.
