The city of Socorro, in the interior of São Paulo, recorded at least 16 flooding points out of 10 landslides after being hit by a storm this Monday (2).
According to Socorro City Hall and the municipal Civil Defense, no missing, injured or fatal victims were registered as a result of the heavy rains.
According to Climatempo, the National Center for Monitoring and Natural Disaster Alerts (Cemaden) recorded 116.6 mm of accumulated rainfall between 6:10 pm and 9:10 pm. The value corresponds to around 41% of the average rainfall for the month of January, which is 282 mm.

The city hall also informed that the Citizenship Secretariat operates at the Municipal Sports Gym, which is prepared to receive homeless people and provide help to residents.
