Storm Hank slams into Britain with 80km/h winds and heavy rain

Its authorities are on alert Britain for the first one storm of 2024 in the country that received the name Hank, as it travels with winds of 80 kilometers that can reach up to 130, while it is accompanied by extreme phenomena.

The Meteorological Office issued orange warning for winds and predicted 35-50 mm of rain in placeswith an increased risk of flooding to homes or businesses, said Guardian.

“An orange warning for severe weather has been issued from 10am to 8pm. A wider yellow wind warning covers the whole of southern England and Wales. A yellow warning for rain covers much of England and Wales as rain continues throughout the day. Rainfall totals from 5pm on Monday to 9pm on Tuesday are likely to reach 15-30mm with 35-50mm in places,” the Met Office said.

It is noted that during the holiday season the bad weather Gerrit hit Britain and resulted in flood part of the Channel Tunnel which connects Britain with France.
