THE Stormy Danielsthe porn star who had stated that she had love affair with former US President Donald Trump, spoke on Wednesday (03/15) to prosecutors investigating his role in buying her silence about sex before the 2016 election, her lawyer said.
THE Trump, who has denied having a relationship with Daniels, is seeking the Republican nomination for president in 2024. The Manhattan district attorney’s office has given him a chance to testify before the grand jury investigating Stormy Daniels’ payment allegations. That too could be seen as a sign that prosecutors may be close to bringing new charges against Donald Trump.
“Stormy answered questions and agreed to make herself available to Justice as a witness or for further investigation if necessaryClark Brewster, Daniels’ attorney, tweeted.
In a tweet, Daniels thanked Brewster “which has helped me in our ongoing struggle for truth and justice.”
A spokeswoman for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg declined to comment, according to Reuters.
Susan Necheles, a lawyer for Trump, did not immediately respond to a request for comment about Daniels’ conversations with prosecutors. Trump denied anything happened and called Bragg’s investigation “politically motivated witch hunts».
Joseph Tacopina, another of Trump’s lawyers, said earlier this week that Trump did not plan to appear before the grand jury, but that his final decision had not yet been made.
The investigation centers on a $130,000 payment Daniels – whose real name is Stephanie Clifford – received in October 2016 from Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal lawyer and director.
