Gaten Matarazzo, actor who plays Dustin Henderson on “Stranger Things”, said the series should kill off more characters.
“It may seem strange, but we should kill more people,” Matarazzo said in an interview with CBR. “This show would be so much better if the stakes were so much higher, like at any moment any of these kids could go wrong. I feel like we are all very safe.”
Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer said in an interview with The Guardian that the fifth and final season will be “like season one on steroids.” “It's bigger than ever in terms of scale, but it's been a lot of fun because everyone is back together in Hawkins: the boys and Eleven interacting in a way that's more similar to how it was in the first season,” Matt said.
“And yes, there may be spin-offs, but the story of Eleven, Dustin, Lucas and Hopper ends here. That’s it…” he added.
At the beginning of January this year, Netflix announced the start of production on the fifth season of the series after the stoppage due to the Hollywood strike in 2023.
