The fifth and final season of the series “Stranger Things” promises to excite. In a new interview, the actor David Harbor interpreter of the character Jim Hopper, called the final episode of the production “the best they’ve ever done”, and that made the entire cast cry.
“I can be very critical of this show,” he said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, adding about the final episode of the fifth season: “It’s the best episode they’ve ever done.”
“The end of this episode, when we were reading it — just us reading it — about halfway through, people started crying,” Harbor said. “So for the last 20 minutes, it was just uncontrollable crying, waves of different people. Noah Schnapp was my favorite,” he added.
“I think part of it is also the fact that these kids, it was their childhood,” he said of the main cast, made up of Millie Bobby Brown, now 20, Finn Wolfhard, 21, Gaten Matarazzo, 22, Caleb McLaughlin, 23, and Noah Schnapp, 20.
“Like, they started the show when they were 11 and 12, and here we are reading [o final].”
“It’s such a good episode, and it’s such a good season. You’re going to love it”, concluded the star.
The plot of the final season of “Stranger Things” has not yet been revealed, but it should bring the final confrontation with the villain Vecna, presented in the last episodes released, in 2022. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2025.
In addition to the regular cast, the final season will feature the new names of Nell Fisher (“Death of the Devil”), Alex Breaux (“36 Hours of War”) and Jake Connelly (“Between the Silence”).
